It is with great excitement that
Big America Records
proudly announces the release of
"El Corazon Negro", The Black Heart!!
Long time East Coast Rocker, James Deely, returns to the Rock Scene
with the spanking new, cool rocking, country flavored sounds of
"El Corazon Negro".
The compact disc contains twelve new songs about bad love, hard
luck, repeated visits to the county jail and too many Taquilla soaked
sunsets. The tracks were recorded by Bill Krodell at Media Kitchen
in Los Angeles and mastered in Philadelphia at Masterworks.
Ringing guitars combine with thundering drums to produce an exciting
new sound that constantly pays homage to yesterday's heroes. Passionate
vocals move easily from upbeat rockers like "Travel Light",
to the slower country blues of "Real Good Reason". The
Runaway Rock-A-Billy Elvis tribute, "Running Back'56"
gives way to the soulful country ballad "Soul Desire".
Upon hearing a an advance copy of "The Black Heart", Bob
Makin of Backstreets Magazine wrote,
" a cross between Surf Rock and Country Twang, Deely can keep
the friends he make in both Asbury Park, and NashVegas happy with
this one. But the Jukes inspired "Jersey Soul" lets folks
know where his heart will always be even if his feet aren't there.
Deely's voice, which sounds more like Elvis than Bruce these days,
is the best it's ever been".
"Set
the Night On Fire"
This is the C.D. that put James Deely and The Valiants on the musical
map.
It features excellent sound quality,(24 Track Masters), and was
recorded at Tom Elliot and Garry (E-Street Bass Man) Tallent's Shore
Fire Recording Studios in Long Branch, N.J. The disc features guest
rockers, Kevin Kavenaugh of Southside Johnny and The Asbury Jukes,
Eric "Rosco" Ambel of Del Lord fame and legendary shore
rocker, Lance Larsen. Jay Lustig said in the East Coast Rocker,
"Deely sings on "Let Me Know" of heading out on the
open highway, in a chorus that is more reminiscent of 70's Springsteen
than anything on "Tunnel of Love".
"Custom Made"
This is the rare follow-up to "Set the Night On Fire".
"Custom Made" features some of the most adventures song
writing Deely has ever done. From the straight up rockers like "Too
Far Gone", to the twisted "Chasing Demons", this
one rocks from start to finish!! The tracks were recorded in some
guys basement in Long Branch with special thanks to the Springdale
Bar for production assistance.
Bob Makin said in one article, "He sounds like the Replacements
meet the Cure during a roadhouse session with Jerry Lee Lewis. Ragged
yet layered, filled with raw garage and roots rock yet also moody
swirling guitars and keyboards, "Custom Made", is the
most original and exciting thing Deely has ever done".
Recently remastered in 2003, "Custom Made", is now available
on
Compact Disc.
"Beyond the Beaches"
This is the very first release from "James Deely and The
Valiants".
While playing every backyard and bar in Long Beach Island that
would have them, J.D. and the boys headed up the Parkway and recorded
this collection.
Once again the sessions took place at Shore Fire Studios. Recently
re-mastered from the limited edition "For Radio Stations
Only" vinyl, it features the Big Hitz, "Tonight",
"So Square"(By Elvis),
and "A Dozen Roses".
